One of the most valuable tools for both franchisors and franchisees is networking events. And this month, there are numerous opportunities for brands to engage with other industry professionals face-to-face.

In this week’s podcast, Social Geek Radio hosts Jack Monson and Deb Evans break down some of the franchising industry’s upcoming events—specifically those organized by the International Franchise Association’s Franchise Business Network (FBN). FBN meetings, which first started in October of 1996, are grassroots networking opportunities for the franchise community. They were designed to bring local franchisors, franchisees and suppliers together on a regular basis to create business-to-business opportunities and offer affordable educational programs.

FBN’s in Atlanta and Houston have exciting sessions scheduled for the month of July! Monson is speaking at the Southeast Franchise Forum / IFA Franchise Business Network July 12 in Atlanta. He is discussing best practices in Social Media Marketing specifically for Franchises.

Evans, CFE is Houston Chair for the Houston Franchise Business network. The summer Houston FBN meeting will be hosted at Christian Brothers Automotive on July 18. The topic is Today’s Methods for Lead Generation.
