Everyone in the franchising industry is affected by social media. That’s why there’s no need for media speakers to focus on the reasons brands need to hop on board. Instead, franchise professionals are interested in learning about the real, feasible steps they can take in order to make a huge impact in their marketing strategies.

FranTech, the International Franchise Association’s marketing, communications and information technology conference, is the place for the industry to gather in order to stay on top of the latest digital trends. The conference is designed to create an environment for franchisors, franchisees and consultants to learn from one another as well as experts in the social media field.

On this week’s Social Geek Radio podcast, hosts Deb Evans and Jack Monson were joined by Alisa Harrison, senior vice president of communications and marketing and Chief of Staff for the IFA. She discussed what to expect at this year’s FranTech conference, while Evans and Monson previewed their panel with Ann Littman and Chelsea Kapka of Safeway Driving that will discuss best practices for telling the story of a growing franchise brand on digital platforms.
