While somehow avoiding any reference to adding vodka, <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-03-27/sonic-brings-red-bull-to-fast-food-as-chain-bucks-healthy-trend?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=sonic-becomes-the-first-fast-food-chain-to-offer-red-bull-2709590" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">Bloomberg</a> recently reported that the franchise Sonic has become the first fast-food chain to offer Red Bull&mdash;in the form, of course, of a frozen slushie.

Sonic is reportedly also <a href="https://1851franchise.com/sonic-introduces-a-new-brunch-burger-served-all-day-2709334" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">gearing up</a> to offer cake batter milkshakes as well as an upgraded BLT&mdash;now with 50 percent more bacon&mdash;later this spring. 

Bloomberg writes that the energy drink slushie and other decadent fares are meant to entice &ldquo;young, hungry males who have remained loyal fast-food customers even as eating habits shift in the U.S.&rdquo; It notes that while several chains have hopped on the trendy diet and healthy living <a href="https://1851franchise.com/get-ready-for-great-tasting-veggie-burgers-throughout-the-foodservice-industry-2709293" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">bandwagon</a>, many fast-food brands are countering that shift by pushing indulgent options <a href="https://1851franchise.com/study-fast-food-less-healthy-today-than-it-was-30-years-ago-2709300" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">more than ever</a>.
