Sonic Gives $1 Million in Donations to Schools Across the Nation

Sonic fans will vote to decide how the donations will be distributed across public schools.

Each year, Sonic invites fans to support their local public school teachers through its Limeades for Learning program. According to a recent article in QSR Magazine, this initiative partners the brand with DonorsChoose.org to let customers across the nation vote for teachers who they would like to involve in the program. These teachers request specific learning materials that the brand’s donations can go towards if selected.

“As we celebrate Limeades for Learning’s 10th anniversary, we are proud to have donated $10 million in books, instruments, science equipment, technology and more to classrooms nationwide through our partnership with DonorsChoose.org. We continue to support public school teachers financially and cheer them on every day as they bring learning to life for their students,” said Christi Woodworth, VP of public relations for Sonic.

In order to vote, fans have four options. These include one vote per day for registering a valid email address, visiting a drive-in and redeeming the sticker code on their bag, sharing on social media and receiving two bonus votes after reaching entering 10 times.
