While speaking with Mike Switzer from <a href="https://www.southcarolinapublicradio.org/show/south-carolina-business-review/2021-03-11/growing-a-hospitality-business-during-a-pandemic?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=south-carolina-business-review-growing-a-hospitality-business-during-a-pandemic-2715481" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">South Carolina Business Review</a>, <a href="https://www.810bowling.com/franchising/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=south-carolina-business-review-growing-a-hospitality-business-during-a-pandemic-2715481" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">810 Billiards &amp; Bowling</a> President, <a href="https://1851franchise.com/810billiardsandbowling/executive">Michael Siniscalchi</a> discussed how the brand managed to stay profitable and add new locations throughout the country throughout the pandemic.&nbsp;The idea of franchising was brought to Siniscachi's attention when the first 810 location was up and running. Now, the first franchise location is set to open in Chandler, Arizona in Spring 2021.&nbsp;The hospitality industry has been hit particularly hard by COVID-19. 810 was not immune. They followed a two-month state-mandated closure and 75% reduced capacity. When it comes to running a hospitality business through COVID-19, Siniscalchi touched on how helpful the PPP loans were to continue to run operations.“We did participate in the PPP program which certainly helped through those months of closure and all the restrictions that were in place over the summer. It ultimately comes down to all of our people being resourceful and flexible.
