Spartanburg Herald-Journal: Mosquito Joe Prepares for Upcoming Opening

Set to open April 3, local couple Eric and Rita Blackwell are preparing to bring Mosquito Joe to the Upstate. The Virginia-based pest control company helps treat area residents backyards in an effort to reduce the number of mosquitoes and ticks in the space.

“I already knew some people that were doing Mosquito Joe and they’re just so happy with it and successful,” Rita told the Spartanburg Herald-Journal. “We felt like this was the right time and the right opportunity.”

The two have five children that they hoped to pass the business along to, one day. The Blackwells Mosquito Joe location will cater to the people of Spartanburg their service across the county, as well as North Carolina towns, including Columbus, Tryon and Mill Spring.
