Set to open&nbsp;April 3, local couple Eric and Rita Blackwell are preparing to bring <a href="http://mosquitojoe.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=spartanburg-herald-journal-mosquito-joe-prepares-for-upcoming-opening-11065" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Mosquito Joe</a> to the Upstate. The Virginia-based pest control company helps treat area residents backyards in an effort to reduce the number of mosquitoes and ticks in the space.&nbsp; 
 
&ldquo;I already knew some people that were doing Mosquito Joe and they&rsquo;re just so happy with it and successful,&rdquo; Rita told the Spartanburg Herald-Journal. &ldquo;We felt like this was the right time and the right opportunity.&rdquo; 
 
The two have five children that they hoped to pass the business along to, one day. The Blackwells&nbsp;<a href="http://mosquitojoe.1851franchise.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=spartanburg-herald-journal-mosquito-joe-prepares-for-upcoming-opening-11065" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Mosquito Joe</a> location will cater to the people of Spartanburg their service across the county, as well as&nbsp;North Carolina towns, including Columbus, Tryon and Mill Spring.
