Last July, Taco Bell made headlines after the taco chain announced a &ldquo;hiring party&rdquo; initiative at several of the franchise&rsquo;s Indiana locations. The parties diverged from the norm, offering &ldquo;free food, party games, immediate interviews and even gift-card signing bonuses,&rdquo; according to an article on <a href="https://www.qsrmagazine.com/employee-management/taco-bell-host-600-hiring-parties-april?utm_campaign=20190404&amp%3Butm_medium=email&amp%3Butm_source=jolt&utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=taco-bell-is-serving-up-a-bold-labor-initiative-this-spring-system-wide-hiring-parties-2709639" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">QSR</a>. Then, the initiative was only tested at four locations.

Flash forward to now, and Taco Bell has announced that &ldquo;participating corporate and franchised units nationwide are hosting nearly 600 Hiring Parties across 44 states, 500-plus restaurants, and nearly 450 cities from April 22&ndash;27,&rdquo; according to the article.

&ldquo;The average Taco Bell restaurant hires 40 employees per year,&rdquo; according to the article. Also according to the article, last year&rsquo;s four-unit &ldquo;hiring party&rdquo; session resulted in the brand hiring &ldquo;40 employees in a single day.&rdquo;

&ldquo;Once again, Taco Bell will stock the events with free food, trivia, and photo props to document the experience,&rdquo; the article said. &ldquo;It&rsquo;s also launched a website for prospective employees to find locations with Hiring Parties: <a href="http://www.tacobell.com/hiringparties?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=taco-bell-is-serving-up-a-bold-labor-initiative-this-spring-system-wide-hiring-parties-2709639" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">http://www.tacobell.com/hiringparties</a>. Interested candidates can apply online for openings as well. Hiring Parties take place in restaurant and last around 2&ndash;4 hours,&rdquo; according to the article.

The hiring parties are just one of several planned campaigns with an innovative touch for the brand, like &ldquo;new employee perks at corporate restaurants&rdquo; and a team communication app, the article said.
