Taco Bell Spicing Up Menu with Steak Rattlesnake Fries

The chain tested the menu item against a different spicy offering in the summer of 2018.

It’s official: Taco Bell is adding so-called Steak Rattlesnake Fries to its menu, according to a Nation’s Restaurant News report.

In an effort to expand menu offerings, Taco Bell tested two different spicy items last year, one of them being Rattlesnake Fries and the other being Reaper Ranch Fries, according to the article.

The brand has decided to add the Rattlesnake Fries - now called Steak Rattlesnake Fries - to menus nationwide starting Feb. 28 for a limited time, according to the article.

“It’s a little bit of an eating adventure,” Taco Bell group manager of product development Rene Pisciotti said of the Steak Rattlesnake Fries, according to the article.

The article also noted that other brands have recently been introducing new menu items in an effort to boost sales, including McDonald’s, which is introducing Donut Sticks to help with breakfast sales.
