More recent growth has been largely due to increases in users from the developing world.

To celebrate, Facebook is promoting a &ldquo;Good Adds Up&rdquo; campaign with personalized videos for users to create and then share. &ldquo;We&rsquo;re getting to a size where it&rsquo;s worth really taking a careful look at what are all the things that we can do to make social media the most positive force for good possible,&rdquo; said Facebook Chief Product Officer Chris Cox.

While Facebook may have beaten the competition so far, it also has sociological issues to tackle since users have started to use the platform so frequently they often misuse it.
