Instagram would like users across the world to use the photo sharing app, whether or not they can download&nbsp;it. According to <a href="https://techcrunch.com/2017/05/08/instagram-mobile-web/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=techcrunch-instagram-launches-mobile-web-sharing-to-pursue-global-growth-12121" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">a recent TechCrunch article</a>, Instagram has added photo sharing and a basic version of the Explore tab to its mobile website. This is a major change from the old mobile website capabilities of simply liking, following, searching and viewing notifications. Although, photo sharing from the desktop site is a feature that is still not available.

&ldquo;Instagram.com (accessed from mobile) is a web experience optimized for mobile phones. It&rsquo;s designed to help people have a fuller experience on Instagram no matter what device or network they are on,&rdquo; the company said.

With 80 percent of Instagram&rsquo;s users located outside of the U.S., the mobile web launch aligns with the company&rsquo;s global growth strategy. Users in the developing world often don&rsquo;t have a fast enough cellular network or enough phone storage to be able to download Instagram&rsquo;s app.
