21st Century Fox&#39;s film division will be acquired by The Walt Disney Company. According to a&nbsp;<a href="http://tcrn.ch/2zclLp5?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=techcrunch-its-official-disney-is-acquiring-foxs-film-and-tv-divisions-for-524-billion-2705020" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="color: rgb(17, 85, 204);" target="_blank">recent article</a>&nbsp;in TechCrunch, this $52.4 billion deal will also give Disney ownership of several television channels including National Geographic and Star TV&nbsp;as well as a majority stake in Hulu.

Disney is no stranger to acquiring other companies. Historically, it has entered deals with big names like Pixar and Marvel. One of the benefits of&nbsp;the new deal with 21st Century Fox that&nbsp;Disney has highlighted&nbsp;is the ability to bring&nbsp;X-Men film rights under the brand&#39;s control. The company suggested that this will allow for crossovers and expansion of its&nbsp;existing Marvel movie universe.

While the deal is not yet finalized, it is expected to be completed within the next 18 months pending legal approval.&nbsp;
