Since July, Instagram has gained 10 million business profiles on its platform. According to a recent article in TechCrunch, the brand has just reached 25 million business accounts. This type of profile was introduced a year and a half ago and has grown exponentially since the release.

According to the article, 80 percent of all Instagram users follow at least one of these profiles. Nearly half of these businesses live on Instagram without a website component, which shows the value of the platform to their companies. 

The growth of business profiles raises questions of whether the growth of this content will make it harder to reach users. More content means more competition to be seen on a news feed.
