The threat of the Zika virus has Mosquito Joe making plans to expand into Mississippi.

Mosquito Joe is planning to expand to Mississippi, with a focus on the Jackson area.
According to The Clarion-Ledger, 23 cases of the Zika virus have been confirmed in Mississippi, and Mosquito Joe has observed a correlated increase in demand for mosquito control -- something they hope to help out with through the expansion.
"We think Mississippi is a great market for us. We would love to get in there and help create jobs," Mosquito Joe COO, Brian Garrison told The Clarion-Ledger. "We can't solve the Zika problem, but we're part of the solution when it comes to mosquito control."
Once a qualified franchisee has been identified, Mosquito Joe could potentially have a local presence as early as April 2017.
