As part of a 70 store expansion throughout Illinois, Smoothie King is looking to add new locations in Marion.

Smoothie King, a popular spot across the county, has interest in expanding into Marion as part of a 70 store expansion for the state, not including Chicago.

"The market exceeds all of our required demographic criteria with a projected growth around 6 percent over the next five years," said Chad Tramuta, Franchise Development Manager with Smoothie King. "We received a lot of interest from the market and we are very excited to bring Smoothie King to the city of Marion."

The company is awarding a territory to a franchisee to own and operate, hoping to get a site within 10-12 months.
