The Infamous 'Bar Rescue' Stalwart Just Signed His First Franchisee

The first of five Taffer’s Taverns will open in Alpharetta, Georgia, in February 2020.

The Bar Rescue star is taking matters into his own hands. Last month, Jon Taffer announced he was seeking franchisees for his latest concept—Taffer’s Taverns. And, according to Fast Casual, Taffer just landed his first franchise agreement via Five Guys Taverns LLC, which will open the first of five Taffer’s Taverns in Alpharetta, Georgia, in February 2020.

Five Guys Taverns comprises a group of experienced franchisees and developers, one of which is the CEO of Chandlee and Sons Construction, a company responsible for designing popular Atlanta dining spaces like Big Sky Buckhead and Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall, according to Fast Casual.

“I worked with Jon on a ‘Bar Rescue’ renovation and witnessed firsthand his expertise and heightened understanding when it comes to restaurant and bar experience,” said Seth Chandlee, CEO of Chandlee and Sons Construction and founding partner of Five Guys Taverns, in a press release. “The idea of ‘tavern dining’ is a timeless concept rooted in community, which makes Taffer’s Tavern the perfect addition to Alpharetta’s historic downtown area.”

Taffer took his expertise to the ultimate level by launching his own bar and restaurant franchise. According to Fast Casual, Taffer’s Taverns will feature a streamlined kitchen design that eliminates the need for costly traditional commercial equipment. The concept utilizes servers, but also features kiosks for customers wanting a more fast casual experience.

One would think Taffer’s Taverns will do really well, considering they were constructed by the bar and restaurant king, himself. Hopefully Taffer won’t have to ‘Bar Rescue’ his own bar.
