A new study by WalletHub ranked Jefferson City, Missouri as one of the top small cities in the country for new businesses. The News Tribune recently spoke with Fast-Fix CEO Gerry Weber and K-9 Resorts Daycare & Luxury Hotel co-founder and co-CEO Jason Parker about potential growth plans in the area.

According to the article, most of Fast-Fix’s stores are located along the coasts, but the brand is looking to expand more in the Midwest.

Said Weber, "Capital Mall would be a place that we would want to be. We think that Missouri is going to be great for us.”

Fast-Fix is currently seeking franchisees for the Jefferson City market, as well as in Kansas City and Springfield.

Said Weber, "Our stores are not all in thriving megalopolises; we are in a lot of smaller cities. Will the store in L.A. be busier than the store in Jefferson City? Yeah, probably. But Jefferson City will do very good business because we will take care of the customers. The service that we offer, it cuts across all demographics."

K-9 Resorts is starting a Midwest expansion after years of successful growth in the Northeast.

Said Parker, "It's definitely an area of interest, something that we are seriously considering, and it's really about finding the right franchise partner. We are going to get close to (Jefferson) City because of the demographics."

Parker also said that though the brand will not select a site until a franchise partner is found, they hope to have that franchisee in place within the next six months.
