Area native comes home to open second restaurant.

A native of Gig Harbor, Wash., Joshua Friedman had always expressed an interest of opening a business in his hometown. That became a reality last week when Friedman brought Pita Pit to town.
After graduating from Central Washington University in 2007, Friedman opened a Pita Pit in Ellensburg, Wash., and had spent his days operating it before moving back home to Gig Harbor this year.
“I always knew I wanted to come back to Gig Harbor,” Friedman told The News Tribune in an interview.

Carrina Wagner, an employee, worked for him at his initial location in Ellensburg and journeyed with him to Gig Harbor to help with the new site.
