Franchising is often a misunderstood concept. Entrepreneurs may focus on more expensive opportunities without realizing that there are more attainable options. Reporter Lisa Scheid believes that although leverage is important, it also takes a business savvy opportunist to recognize the challenge of running a successful franchise.

In order to succeed as a franchisee, one must understand the business acquisition and retention processes. Franchising is more than just selling a product; there are more nuances involved.

According to Jeff Vickers, Which Which Senior VP of Development, franchisees should be active in their local communities to build a brand awareness.

Which Wich specifically looks for franchisees who want to own multiple locations because it gives them control of the market, Vickers said in an interview with the Reading Eagle.

To become a Which Wich franchise owner, the total investment costs around $325,000.

"We have built a relationship with preferred lenders to where they are already sold on the brand," Vickers told the Reading Eagle.
