Tide Laundromat provides comprehensive pre-opening support to franchisees, including assistance with site selection and approval, lease negotiation, design, layout, and construction guidance, and coordination for equipment sourcing and installation.
Training programs cover initial training for the owner and designated staff, on-site operational training, and additional training available as needed.
Franchisees receive ongoing operational support through field guidance, marketing and brand assistance, performance monitoring and reporting tools, and vendor and supplier coordination.
The franchise provides a suite of proprietary technology and tools, such as proprietary POS and digital systems, a mobile payment and loyalty app, data reporting and analytics tools, and automated chemical dispensing systems.
Tide Laundromat franchisees should have experience managing large-scale retail or service operations, along with the ability to oversee multi-unit development as the brand grows. The model is best suited for owners with a long-term investment mindset who can lead teams, manage operational complexity and build a scalable business over time.
Tide Laundromat franchisees are expected to stay highly involved during development and launch, whether through active ownership or professional management. Operators must also meet multi-unit development obligations, follow system standards and work within approved supplier requirements.
Tide Laundromat does not offer direct or indirect funding for franchisees.
“We were incredibly impressed with the technology of Tide Laundromat and the resiliency of the Tide brand. But the thing that is most exciting to us about this business was we felt that there's a lot there that we could contribute to this partnership and become a pretty significant player in an industry that's incredibly fragmented. The technology that Tide Laundromat uses is really impressive. Consumers don’t need to come with a pocketful of quarters anymore. All the transactions are done on the app and it’s fast and easy. Doing the laundry is part of everyday life and it’s not a service consumers can get on Amazon. It’s for those reasons we see a lot of space to grow with a national brand that has taken going to the laundromat and getting your clothes washed and dry to the next level.”
- Navin Nagrani, a partner at CMG Companies, a franchisee group that signed a 50-unit development agreement in the Southwest with Tide Laundromat
The U.S. laundry industry is a multi-billion-dollar sector, with the overall U.S. laundry care market (soaps, detergents and softeners) valued at roughly $25 billion. The service and facilities side, encompassing laundromats, dry cleaning and industrial linen supply, generates an additional $20 billion to $22 billion annually.
Tide Laundromat competes with a mix of laundromat franchises, dry cleaning franchises and tech-enabled laundry service brands. Some of the most notable competitors include: WaveMAX Laundry, Speed Queen Laundry, LaundroLab, Zoom Express Laundry and Lapels Cleaners.
Tide Laundromat’s competitive advantages include its national brand recognition, seamless technology integration, premium customer experience and proprietary cleaning systems.
