Food trends for the next year are taking an interesting turn, according to Whole Foods. The fan favorite grocer released its list of the food and beverages that it expects to take over in 2018, and the items that made the cut are definitely unique.

Time Magazine recently rounded up five of the items that Whole Foods is expecting consumers to love in the coming months, starting with mushroom-infused coffee. According to Whole Foods, mushroom varieties will be infused in a variety of products, including chocolate, broths, tea, soaps and hair care products as a way to promote wellness. Another trend that the grocery chain is anticipating is engineered plant-based food, including sushi that uses tomato instead of tuna and dairy-free products that get a creamy texture through nuts. Whole Foods’ top trends of 2018 also include root-to-stem consumption, super powders made from items like kale, roots and herbs and floral flavors including elderflower and lavender.
