<a href="http://www.gloriajeans.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=traverse-city-record-eagle-gloria-jeans-coffees-sets-sights-on-traverse-city-for-development-12203" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Gloria Jean&#39;s Coffees</a> is brewing up expansion plans in Michigan and eyeing&nbsp;Traverse City.&nbsp;

&ldquo;Traverse City will be a great city for us,&rdquo; said Brian Balconi, president of Retail Food Group USA, the parent company of Gloria Jean&rsquo;s Coffees.

The coffee franchise has three shops in Michigan &mdash; in Auburn Hills, Portage and Rochester. A second Auburn Hills location is set to open this month. The company plans to add more shops in Michigan in the next few years, Balconi said, and now is seeking potential franchisees.

&ldquo;There&rsquo;s special emphasis on Michigan, Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin,&rdquo; he said, because of the chain&rsquo;s Chicago roots. &ldquo;We&rsquo;re building out the Midwest and the Michigan market.&rdquo;
