Twitter to Eliminate "Moments" Feature on Mobile Apps

Due to a lack of use on mobile, this function is being eliminated from the app but will remain available on desktop.

Twitter has announced that the Moments feature will soon be a desktop exclusive. According to a recent article on 9to5 Mac, the social media platform is removing this option from iOS and Android apps in a matter of weeks. The Moments feature groups tweets that center around a trending topic together to be accessed in one place.

“On October 23, we’re removing the ability to create Moments on the Twitter for iOS or Android apps. When features aren’t used as often, we’ll remove them, so we can focus on building other products you’ll love. Have a story you want to tell through a Moment? It’s still possible! Head over to Twitter.com on desktop to create and share your Moments with the world,” the company tweeted.
