A woman in Tilton, Illinois., raised donations to send two pallets full of bottled water to help residents in Flint, Michigan cope with the water crisis, but she needed a means of transport. That's where TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® stepped in.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® franchisee Rene Shunk got the news and offered one of her trucks and a couple of movers and off they went. From Danville, Illinois., to Flint, Michigan, Rene pitched in to the cause.

"We really try to give back to our community as much as we can," Shunk told The News-Gazette.

Shunk added the business has been involved in efforts to help the Eastern Illinois Foodbank, Courage Connection, the Crisis Nursery, the Feeding Our Kids backpack program, the Champaign Urbana Ballet and the Champaign County Humane Society, among others.

Last year, Rene said, the business donated $10,000 worth of moving services to different organizations.
