Realtor.com recently named Nashville one of the top ten hottest spots for families to move to, and Nashville is seeing a dramatic spike in the amount of families moving to the city as a result. Last year, the Nashville Chamber of Commerce reported that on average, 71 people were moving to the city every day.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® General Manager Nicholas Taylor attributes the amount of people moving to the area to many different factors.

"I believe the main reason people are moving to Nashville includes the booming music scene and the local entertainment scene," says Taylor. "New Nashvillians can also find concerts taking place every night, plenty of dog-friendly venues around town, shady greenways to run or bike, and tons of things to do after work and on the weekends."

With June and July being the busiest moving times of the year, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® offers some tips whether you're moving to a new city or just across town.
  • Schedule your move well in advance before your moving company’s schedule fills up
  • Always overestimate how much time it will take to pack your belongings into boxes
  • Be sure your moving company is licensed and insured, that they drug test and background check their employees, and that their initial cost estimate reflects all costs included in their services.
