After graduating college, native Coloradoan Tyler Fuss began working as a financial advisor. I was training with Nick all day, six days a week, for about four months. My first year with him went extremely well and I was promoted to general manager my second year. Nick built a great infrastructure and all I had to do was execute it.”&nbsp;The LIME Painting system has taught Fuss a lot about the contracting industry. “There are a lot of contractors out there and many of them give the industry a bad rep,” he said. “Part of that is that there’s no transparency in the work, meaning that the same person is doing the painting, auditing, estimates, et cetera, so things tend to fall through the cracks. <a href="https://1851franchise.com/limepainting/how-lime-paintings-loyalty-program-and-turnkey-services-result-in-a-20-percent-customer-return-rate-2710917#brand-latest-stories">This is why I liked the LIME system so much</a>; the company has the systems and positions in place to address every aspect of the process, whether it’s going door-to-door to market, providing estimates, auditing jobs or vetting talented craftsmen in the area. We have franchise leadership meetings where the owners meet with the leadership team to go over ways to improve the system; they make sure the system is giving each owner the best results possible. Nick holds academy trainings for new employees to learn and franchise owners to continue their education.”Fuss added, “Nick is very hands-on and in constant contact with his employees and franchise owners. He really makes himself available at all times to support the team at LIME.”It’s clear that Fuss really values Lopez and, according to Lopez, the feeling is quite mutual. “Tyler has invested a tremendous amount of time into being a successful owner,” Lopez said. “His attention to detail and due diligence is a rare and impressive trait. He’s a very customer-service-focused owner, is humble and has a heart as big as his work ethic.”As he looks to the future, Fuss is excited to continue to grow with the LIME Painting brand and is even planning on adding to his business. “In May 2020, I am planning on hiring a position that we call the ‘Creator’—it’s essentially a project manager who orders all the paint, supplies and does the auditing to ensure quality and consistency,” Fuss said. “Then in 2021, I am planning on hiring a few sales people, which will allow me to really establish a foothold Boulder County and work on moving into the Fort Collins territory.”&nbsp;LIME Painting focuses on custom residential and commercial interior and exterior painting while acting as a contracting service provider, offering over 40 different home improvement services.
