Canadian vegan-food chain Copper Branch will open its first international locations this year, according to <a href="http://vegnews.com/articles/page.do?pageId=11422&amp%3BcatId=1&utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=vegnews-vegan-chain-copper-branch-expands-to-60-locations-2706830" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">an article in VegNews</a>.

The Montreal, Quebec-based chain opened its first location in 2014 and currently has 17 locations throughout Quebec and Ontario. By the end of 2018, the franchise plans to double its unit count, expanding into Alberta, British Columbia and the Maritimes, as well as establishing its first international locations in New York and Brest, France.

&ldquo;Copper Branch has always had the goal of being one of the largest and fastest growing plant-based fast-casuals in North America,&rdquo; Copper Branch&rsquo;s director of marketing, Andrew Infantino, told VegNews. &ldquo;Ever since Copper Branch began, our focus has always been to be a global brand and to inspire change in the food industry. In order to have true impact, we have to think large and keep growing.&rdquo;
