After over a year of waiting, LinkedIn has announced what they will be doing with their purchase of Lynda.com. According to a recent VentureBeat article, the professional social network has launched LinkedIn Learning, an integration of its economic graph with its Lynda.com acquisition.

The acquisition cost LinkedIn $1.5 billion, and since April there was no announced plan of what was going to happen with the online education company. There are not very many changes to the Lynda.com experience—you can simply earn new skills based on jobs you are interested in without leaving LinkedIn. Users can follow Learning Paths, which will tell you the courses you need to take to get your dream job.

Although the service isn’t free—it’ll cost you $30 per month, or a Premium LinkedIn subscription. There may also be an enterprise option down the line to support multi-person licensing.

Along with LinkedIn Learning, the social network has announced a few other updates. The brand has revealed that there will soon be an updated desktop experience similar to their mobile app, along with changes to the News Feed and more intelligent messaging.
