VentureBeat: Now hiring every available human: Amazon posts 50,000 warehouse jobs in U.S.

Today, Amazon announced the addition of 50,000 job opportunities for Americans. According to a recent article in VentureBeat, this comes as a fulfillment of the company's earlier promise to increase U.S. employment by roughly 55 percent.

Of these new jobs, one fifth will be part time positions and the rest will be full time. Amazon will be hosting 10 job fairs around the nation in order to begin filling these positions.

James Olson, VP of Worldwide Operations Human Resources said, "We’re excited to be creating great jobs that offer highly competitive wages, benefits starting on day one, and the chance for employees to go back to school through our Career Choice program."
