Voodoo Brewing Co., the high-energy brewpub concept from Voodoo Franchise Group, opened in Plano, Texas, on March 8. The location was opened by husband-and-wife team Jeremy and Jennifer Dartez. According to Jennifer, the couple chose Plano for the location of their Voodoo Brewing Co. pub because the area has a lot within walking distance and is very community-oriented.

Jennifer told Community Impact that, of the 15 Voodoo brand beers, The Love Child and Lactor Cooler are top sellers so far. Guests can always find nine Voodoo flagship beers on the menu, while others will be switched out during the year. Voodoo options include seltzers, stouts, IPAs and golden ales, and there are 14 other branded beer options on tap.

“My husband is a beer snob, so he wants those off-the-wall, very good, spontaneous releases,” Jennifer told the publication. “I only got one keg of each and will continue to get other kegs to replace those guest taps.”

And it’s not just beer that customers are loving. Food items such as dill pickle pizza and hush puppies have also been favorites.
