In the face of Hurricane Michael, however, 30 of the brand&rsquo;s Florida and Georgia locations in the path of the storm were shuttered as of Wednesday night, <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/nation-now/2018/10/10/hurricane-michael-waffle-house-closed/1588278002/?utm_source=dlvr.it&amp%3Butm_medium=twitter&utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=waffle-house-closes-30-restaurants-due-to-hurricane-michael-2708149" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">according to an article in USA TODAY</a>. At least one location suffered significant damage, the article noted.

Hurricane Michael made landfall on Wednesday as a Category 4 storm with wind speeds up to 155 mph, just two miles shy of a Category 5.
