Wendy's Unveils Bacon Maple Chicken Sandwich
The franchise’s latest LTO is billed as the sandwich “Where Sweet Meets Savory Meets Convenience.”
Quick-service restaurant giant Wendy’s has begun rolling out a limited-time offer sure to intrigue your taste buds: the Bacon Maple Chicken Sandwich. The brand announced the LTO in a recent release that divulged the sandwich launch was three years in the making due to the extensive measures Wendy’s took to perfect the recipe.
The Bacon Maple Chicken Sandwich is comprised of a crispy chicken fillet topped with Swiss cheese, three strips of Applewood smoked bacon and finished off with a maple glaze served on a croissant bun. The sandwich maintains a hybrid existence between being a breakfast and a lunch food, so Wendy’s decided to make it available all day as an added convenience to its customers.
"The first time I tried the Bacon Maple Chicken sandwich, it honestly blew me away," Kurt Kane, Wendy's executive vice president, chief concept and marketing officer, said in the statement. "I highly recommend treating yourself to one, or two, to see just how good our Homestyle chicken fillet is when you add bacon and our new maple glaze to it."
