As we approach the end of the year, multiple franchise brands have announced charitable efforts within their communities.

A PJ’s Coffee franchisee in New Orleans has partnered with Make-A-Wish® to lead a community fundraising effort and grant a local child’s wish to see snow for the first time. Petland and Black Bear Diner are also recognized on the Make-A-Wish® website as donors.

In honor of Veteran’s Day, California Pizza Kitchen and Johnny Rockets are among a larger list of franchises offering free entrees, beverages and snacks to those who have served.

California Closets® of North Carolina and Virginia have announced a partnership with two Ronald McDonald House Chapters and paws4people.

No matter the form, franchisees nationwide have taken to showing appreciation to their communities in their own unique ways. While this is a great way to bring awareness to issues and leverage community resources for a meaningful cause, being public about such partnerships also strengthens the franchisees’ image.

For many franchise owners, opening a business is a great way to get involved within the community while taking on a new professional venture. These partnerships demonstrate a commitment to growth beyond owners’ personal gain and often, inadvertently, boost community morale and business success even further.
