Wine & Design Seeks Franchisees in Atlanta with a Passion for Bringing a Fresh New Art Experience to Their Community

The brand offers five diverse revenue streams, employs local artists—and is offering a discount for the first franchisee to sign in Georgia.

Wine & Design, the paint and sip franchise with a diverse range of options that make art fun for everyone, has enjoyed considerable growth since its founding in North Carolina in 2011. “Georgia is a state we really want to focus on for 2019, and Atlanta is one city we've been eyeing for quite a while,” said Sheri Hill, Wine & Design’s franchise sales manager. “Atlanta has such a rich culture when it comes to music, history and art, and that serves as a lot of inspiration for artists! We can't wait to bring this opportunity to the area and give Atlanta something to talk (and paint!) about.”

The average initial investment range for the first six months of opening a Wine & Design franchise is $69,950 to $221,200. This includes the one-time franchise fee of $25,000. The brand offers a 15% franchise fee discount for veterans, as well as a discount and for the first owner to sign in a new state—such as Georgia.

The ideal Wine & Design franchisee is committed to the brand and to drumming up support on the grassroots level, no previous artistic or business experience required.

“Our ideal franchise candidate is someone who is passionate, willing to learn and someone who is excited to evangelize the brand into their local community,” explained Hill. “So much of small business ownership is dependent on relationships in the community, so it really needs to be someone who wants to bring a refreshing new art experience to their town.”

Wine & Design employs local artists to serve as instructors, a welcome income opportunity for many creatives. “With an office manager and artists, a new studio can employ anywhere from three to five, while our more experienced studios can rotate between seven and eight artists to keep the classes staffed,” said Hill.

Leah Couch is one such local artist who worked at her local Wine & Design in Greenville, South Carolina for a year before the opportunity arose for her to invest in the business for herself. In the five years since becoming a franchisee, she’s seen Wine & Design thrive amid competing concepts in her market thanks to its emphasis on local art.

“We’ve received consistent feedback that our customer service is bar none, and that our kind, passionate artists who clearly love what they do make Wine & Design’s atmosphere very genuine,” Couch said.

In addition to the brand’s standard paint and sip classes, Wine & Design offers five distinct business divisions—and therefore five diversified revenue streams—within its standard franchise agreement: DIY, Art Buzz Kids, On Wheels, Paint It Forward and Team Building.

“To be candid, there isn't a market that we haven't seen extreme potential in. Our concept is one that can and does resonate with any age group and gender,” explained Hill. “We've got DIY wood projects such as Cornhole boards that are the perfect opportunity to spend some quality time with the Dad who has everything, bachelorette or girls night out themes for a group looking for a new experience when heading out on the town, plus Mommy & Me classes and Art Buzz Kids.”
