In an effort to create a larger presence in Manitoba, <a href="https://www.dairyqueen.com/us-en/Company/Franchise-With-Us/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=winnipeg-free-press-dairy-queen-brings-its-dq-grill-chill-model-to-winnipeg-12133" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Dairy Queen&reg;</a> has begun the process of adding locations to Winnipeg, according to Chris Falle, the company&rsquo;s director of franchise development.&nbsp;

Falle said that there&#39;s a focus on Winnipeg&#39;s downtown area in addition to opening some sites in Manitoba&#39;s more rural municipalities.&nbsp;

&quot;We have a lot of successful locations in rural Manitoba, whether it&rsquo;s Winkler, Steinbach or Selkirk,&quot; Falle told the Winnipeg Free Press. &quot;But we&rsquo;d also love to be in Dauphin, Thompson, Flin Flon, Altona and Beausejour. They&rsquo;re all target markets for us, as well.&quot;

Within the next three to five years, <a href="https://dairyqueen.1851franchise.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=winnipeg-free-press-dairy-queen-brings-its-dq-grill-chill-model-to-winnipeg-12133" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Dairy Queen</a> is hoping to add seven new restaurants to Manitoba&#39;s capital.
