OMAHA, Neb.  Omaha, Nebraska, is getting a new luxury spa experience. Ashlyn Becker, a former sales and marketing leader, has signed an agreement with Woodhouse Spas, the luxury day spa franchise, and is planning to open her resort-style spa in West Omaha next year.

“My husband and I moved to Omaha for a job opportunity, and after getting the kids acclimated and managing our real estate portfolio, I started thinking, ‘Okay, what’s next for me?’” Becker said. “We had talked about franchising from a big-picture standpoint. And I had been a Woodhouse guest for many years. When I learned it was a franchise model, I was floored, and I quickly started the due diligence process.”

Her long-standing appreciation for Woodhouse’s unique market position was a key factor in her decision to invest. Becker had valued spa experiences with her mother and sister when she was younger, and, in adulthood, she was consistently seeking a way to recreate this experience without booking a hotel stay.

“I really had no luck doing that until I finally visited Woodhouse for the first time in Nashville,” she said. “I’ve visited many different Woodhouses since then. My husband and I love to go to SEC football games, and we always travel with another couple. My girlfriend and I love to do a spa day before the football game, and it’s gotten to the point that we only visit football games in markets where there’s a Woodhouse available. It just makes the trip so much better.”

Having become such a fan of Woodhouse in her own life, it just made sense for Becker to pursue Woodhouse ownership — both fulfilling her own entrepreneurial dreams and bringing a valuable resource to her community.

“I recognized Omaha as somewhat of an experience-starved market,” she said. “The city has a resilient economy, low unemployment, and significant growth. The demographics can support and model like Woodhouse, and people are looking for those experiences. I’m excited to bring this amenity to the community.”

Currently, Becker is working to secure a site for her spa, with plans to break ground soon, targeting an opening in the holiday season of 2026 as she looks toward developing a guest-centric spa that will meet the community’s growing demand for health and wellness services.
