According to Spain, she knew very little about franchising before joining PSB, but now, she recognizes the incredible opportunity the franchising industry offers entrepreneurs from all walks of life.“Working with Premium Service Brands has really offered me this incredible point of view within an industry where I see such opportunity. Franchising is ideal for people who want to run their business but still have support on the back end to help them reach their goals,” she said.During the pandemic, the franchising industry saw an increase in interest from former corporate employees, people Spain refers to as “corporate refugees.” “We’ve seen an incredible pivot for people who’ve worked in the corporate industry who now want to own their own business ... and we’ve seen them coming to franchising and embracing a new opportunity,” she said. “It’s incredible to see people taking advantage of taking the next step and taking control of their journey.”Spain’s biggest piece of advice to young entrepreneurs who are looking to take the same leap of faith: Show initiative.“There’s so much opportunity in the franchising world for fresh ideas. You just have to present yourself. Make that pitch, send that idea, get that job.
