Ara Avagyan is an Armenian immigrant who has attended both medical school and earned a Master’s in Leadership and Management. In 1997 Ara moved to Moscow, Russia and decided to start a business career and enrolled in Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics & Informatics. He has held a wide variety of top executive positions, as well as owned companies, in the home health industry.

When searching for a new business concept to bring to Los Angeles, he fell in love with the MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes* product at the West Coast Franchise Expo. He considered starting his own concept, but craved the stability of having brand recognition. He wanted to be able to utilize his managerial skills while marketing a unique, but familiar concept. With MOOYAH’s never-frozen meat, house made bread and customizable burgers he knew that MOOYAH would be great fit.

Ara has signed a deal to open three MOOYAH’s in his area, but hopes to expand that to ten evetually. His first location is open in Monrovia, and he has one location in Glendora opening early next year, with one more on the way in Simi Valley that is currently under construction.
