Philly Pretzel Factory is soon opening its first location in Nevada on the strip in Las Vegas, later this year. It will be the western-most location of Philly Pretzel Factory, which is most-present in the Northeast.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the Philly Pretzel Factory in Las Vegas will be the first one in the system-wide chain to serve alcohol. John Gerds is the franchise owner of the soon-to-be location in Las Vegas and he is in the process of finalizing the beer and wine list for his first location.

"They [the Philly Pretzel Factory corporate team] loved the idea," Gerds said. "It's something they've never been able to do before."

Gerds stores will be open 24 hours a day and he has two additional locations in the plans one of them possibly being on Fremont Street. The Las Vegas Valley locations will be in places where Gerds feels he will be able to attract a mix of East Coast tourists, familiar with the brand while also introducing it to tourists from the West Coast.

"The Strip has so many different food options, and people are nervous to try something new," said Gerds. "They'll see these signs and think of back home."
