This move represents one of the most significant expansions of drone delivery in the United States to date, serving over 100,000 residents and incorporating dozens of restaurants — including major brands like&nbsp;<a href="https://1851franchise.com/franchise-deep-dive-papa-johns-franchise-costs-fees-profit-and-data-2724607">Papa Johns</a> and&nbsp;<a href="https://1851franchise.com/brasstap/info">The Brass Tap</a>.&nbsp;While DoorDash has previously experimented with drone deliveries through partnerships with Wing in North Carolina and Virginia, the Flytrex partnership brings new scale and operational complexity. The drones can currently carry payloads up to 6.6 pounds (with future upgrades increasing to 8.8), and operate between 8 a.m. and 9:30 p.m., offering flexibility for restaurants trying to meet high demand across various dayparts.
