Pollo Campero, the fast-casual Central American chicken franchise with nearly 90 locations across the U.S., has identified San Antonio, Texas as its next market for franchise expansion. The team is confident in the brand’s ability to succeed in San Antonio and is looking to add a total of 15 restaurants with hopes to have three to five of those operational within the next five years.

“San Antonio is an attractive market because we have a legacy customer base, a favorable business environment, an influx of immigrants that are familiar with the brand and a growing population,” explained Blas Escarcega, director of franchise development. “I’m native to the border region myself and have a personal understanding of the culture in San Antonio and I’m confident that Pollo Campero will succeed in the San Antonio area.”

After a recent Road Show, where Pollo Campero conducted mobile discovery days in priority markets, the leadership team is even more confident in the growth potential that San Antonio holds.

We chose San Antonio to host a Road Show because it is a great area where the brand has shown a good deal of interest,” said Escarcega. “Texas continues to be the fastest-growing state, and we had a great deal of visibility and interest in our concept from San Antonio locals.”

The Pollo Campero team is looking to fill out the San Antonio market with a total of 15 new restaurants but has already spotlighted San Antonio itself, the Rio Grande Valley and El Paso as potential sites for this development effort.

As a key player in the over $55 billion fast-food chicken segment, Pollo Campero brings a unique flavor and experience to the communities it enters. With the help of a recipe that was perfected in a small, Guatemalan, family-owned restaurant, Pollo Campero chicken is marinated to provide a juicy, flavorful experience that is hard to find elsewhere.

“Simply put, we have the best-tasting chicken,” said Escarcega. “Whether it be our fried chicken, grilled chicken or empanadas — everything is unique, flavorful and delicious. We don't take shortcuts, and we work hard to ensure that we maintain the consistency of the flavor profile.”

New franchise owners will also receive substantial support from the Pollo Campero team to ensure they feel entirely prepared to launch their restaurant and continue to grow. With a franchise support team based in Dallas, the Pollo Campero team will not be far away from San Antonio owners, ensuring they are supported through marketing efforts, real estate selection and technological advancements as they continue to grow.

“As we continue to grow and set our brand apart in the booming chicken category, we are eager to welcome new franchisees to the Pollo Campero family and introduce our beloved products to more communities around the country,” said Escarcega.

Initial investments range from $1,287,250 – $2,491,500*. For more information, visit https://camperofranchise.com/
