What do you want us to know?Amber Parsons: I grew up in California, went to school in Florida and started my career in New York City. My first job out of college was working as a booker and associate producer for Shepard Smith. I was in journalism for seven years, but we didn’t want to raise our family in NYC, so we moved to Colorado. That’s when I transitioned into physician and mid-level staffing, which I’ve done for the last 13 years.Then, my father-in-law was diagnosed with dementia, and it was awful — but equally awful was watching my mother-in-law try to be his primary caregiver. We’re really involved in animal rescue, especially greyhounds and Spanish greyhounds. We actually fly to Spain to rescue dogs that are in some really horrific conditions.
