Still in the beta version of its new operating system, Apple has introduced new, racially diverse emojis. The website 9tp5mac released screenshots to readers. Now, all users need to do is click and hold down a human emoji to change the skin tone.
According to the Unicode Consortium, the governing body of technical standards, "Unicode Version 8.0 is adding 5 symbol modifier characters that provide for a range of skin tones for human emoji. These characters are based on the six tones of the Fitzpatrick scale, a recognized standard for dermatology. The exact shades may vary between implementations."
Additionally, there are new country flags added, the watch emoji is now an Apple Watch, and the phone emoji is now an updated iPhone 6 image.
