Because of the interest we have already seen from the North Shore, our franchisee will be set up for success in that market,” said Valente. “Families are reconsidering their living situations amid the pandemic and, at the same time, discovering there are some quick, cosmetic projects that need to happen before they can put their home on the market. That kind of service is more important than ever.”Valente spent the early part of his career as a general contractor and licensed Realtor®, completing more than 500 client construction projects, working with luxury designers and buying and selling his own properties. Although he enjoyed the industry as a whole, the last minute requests and demands that stemmed from custom projects were starting to weigh on him. Many projects often promised a big payout, but in the end took too much time and went over budget due to customer demands. After realizing the opportunity that existed to contract simple, quick projects for families trying to sell their homes, Valente decided to refocus his own business.“I was sick of the BS,” Valente said. “I was tired of working on projects where there was always one more thing —&nbsp;one more change to the plan or additional upgrade that made it impossible to complete on time or make a decent profit.”&nbsp;By establishing a highly lucrative new service that partners mainly with real estate agents, Renovation Sells saw the potential to quickly sweep across the Chicago real estate market and beyond. In the brand’s first year, its clients homes sold at an average of 98% of the asking price. He notes that Renovation Sells caters perfectly to three types of candidates: general contractors, real estate agents and entrepreneurs who are interested in the industry.&nbsp;“We want people who understand the value of our services,” said Valente. “You don’t need to be a contractor or a real estate agent to perform well. Anyone who has a sincere interest in the real estate and home improvement industries can thrive with our model, but it's critical to understand our value to be able to educate future customers about the impact that our services can make. Believing in a business and its purpose is everything when it comes to growth.”With Renovation Sells’ established customer demand in the Chicago’s North suburbs, the area presents an ideal franchising opportunity for any interested entrepreneurs.
