Best in Class Education Center (Best in Class), a supplemental education franchise, has posted another record year for growth in 2014 and has already started 2015 off on a strong note.

Best in Class wrapped up 2014 with impressive numbers, opening a total of five new locations with two currently in development slated to open later this year. The brand also posted a system-wide revenue increase of 30 percent from the previous year.

“This past year was a monumental time for our growing franchise. We’ve helped thousands of students succeed in the classroom, and this is the cornerstone of our ability to expand,” said Hao Lam, CEO and chairman of Best in Class. “Our franchisees have proven their dedication to education time and time again, and I am honored to move forward and spread Best in Class throughout the United States.”

Since its inception in 1995, Best in Class has stood as a leader in progressive, tailored curriculum and individualized assessment. This commitment to quality has allowed the supplemental education brand to get a jumpstart on expansion in 2015. Since January, the brand has opened two new locations in California, and in March will be moving into New Jersey – a previously undeveloped state for Best in Class.

This great growth can in part be attributed to a new franchise incentive, as well as notable recognition within the franchise community. Last year, Best in Class was included in the U.S. Small Business Administration’s official Franchise Registry – a designation that helps expedite the loan process for new and existing franchisees. In order to further help potential franchisees break into business ownership, Best in Class also launched an incentive program, mirroring the program the brand has had in place for veterans, for teachers who have dedicated their lives to education.

The franchise community has also helped Best in Class grow. Franchise Business Review recognized Best in Class as a Top Emerging Franchise and Franchise Gator named the brand one of its Fastest Growing Franchises. Even more notably, the brand was also recognized by King County, Seattle Executive Dow Constantine and Washington senator Bob Hasegawa for the success of Lam’s teaching techniques, Best in Class’ standards of curriculum, and the brand’s commitment to helping students excel in the classroom. The recognition included the proclamation of “Best in Class Education Center Day” as July 5.

To ensure more communities have access to Best in Class’ top-tier education systems, Lam welcomed Sharon Peterson aboard as Franchise Sales Director in 2014. Through Peterson’s commitment and enthusiasm, the brand already has strong franchise prospects ready to sign on for further expansion. Currently, the brand employs more than 200 staff members and teachers, both full and part-time.

“For the past two decades, the purpose of Best in Class has always been to provide superior supplemental education to children, and we vow to remain just as passionate and committed to the cause in 2015,” said Lam. “To remain on a positive development path and ensure our students are properly educated, we will continue investing in our programs, our qualified instructors, and our franchisees.”

Best in Class is a top-tier educational center that has built a curriculum around strong critical-thought. The program highlights math and English education and coaches students in supplemental and remedial core-education as well as standardized test preparation. Lam has led his team in developing the Best in Class program that emphasizes student mastery and long-term retention and, as a result, academic success both in and out of the classroom.

With more than 30 centers across the United States, Best in Class is currently focusing on growth in key development markets including Southern California, Texas, Maryland, Washington D.C. and Virginia.
