Birmingham Business Journal: Showhomes Identifies Birmingham, Alabama as Key Market for Growth
The city's real estate market has the potential to support new franchisees who sign on to develop the brand in the area.
Birmingham's rise in real estate has caught the attention of Showhomes.
The Nashville-based franchise says it is looking to open two locations in the Birmingham area in the next 12 months or so. Showhomes has around 60 locations in 19 states, including one in Fairhope.
Showhomes COO Matt Kelton said he thinks there are a number of aspects that make Birmingham an attractive place for expansion, including its size and the positive momentum of its housing market.
He said another selling point is that home prices in the Birmingham area compare favorably to other markets.
