Burger King to Test Out Three New ‘Impossible’ Menu Items

The plant-based patty is definitely making some headway.

Since its debut in August, Burger King’s Impossible Whopper has certainly made headlines. The brand (and the King) have seen a lot of success from the plant-based patty made by Impossible Foods—and now, the next round of Impossible menu item rollouts is here. According to The Takeout, Burger King will expand its Impossible burger offerings to add three new menu items— an Impossible Whopper Jr., an Impossible Burger and an Impossible Cheeseburger.

Interestingly, the new plant-based patties will be available as part of the Burger King kid’s menu, marking the first time a plant-based burger has been available on a quick service kid’s menu of this scale, The Takeout reports. In the first round of rollouts, BK will be testing the new menu items in 180 locations including Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Augusta, Georgia; Cincinnati, Ohio; and Buffalo, New York.

And, luckily for consumers in those areas, they can now enjoy their whoppers (plant OR meat-based) from the comfort of their couches thanks to the brand’s new partnership with Uber Eats

Regardless of your burger-style preference, take it from someone who recently has hopped on the Impossible Whopper train: They are pretty darn good.
