Captain D's Continues Growth Momentum With StarChain USA

StarChain USA, a distinguished group of multi-unit, multi-concept operators with a portfolio including Checkers & Rally’s, Yogi Mogli and Which Wich, has signed a development agreement to open 15 new Captain D’s restaurants throughout Arkansas and the Carolinas over the next several years, according to QSR Magazine. StarChain USA will reportedly also acquire four existing units in Greenville-Spartanburg, South Carolina and five in the Little Rock, Arkansas region.

“In our 50th year in business, we’re increasingly attracting exceptional multi-unit operators looking to diversify their portfolio with a growing brand, and we’re thrilled to have our latest franchisee StarChain USA come on board and be a part of our success,” said Brad Reed, chief development officer of Captain D’s. “We look forward to accelerating the momentum we achieved in 2018 and the first quarter of this year to continue supporting the growth of our new and existing franchisees.”

With more than 530 units in 22 states, QSR notes that Captain D’s has experienced quite a bit of growth over the past several years. The seafood brand opened 14 new restaurants last year and reported the highest number of signings since 2015, entering into 11 agreements to open more than 50 restaurants in new and current markets.
