The sandwich chain ended Chick-fil-A’s 11-year reign atop customer satisfaction rankings on this year’s annual American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI).

According to the 2026 American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI), Jersey Mike’s has overtaken Chick-fil-A as the highest-rated major quick-service restaurant (QSR) brand in customer satisfaction, ending Chick-fil-A’s 11-year streak at the top.
Jersey Mike’s earned a score of 84 out of 100 in its first year being included in the survey, edging out Chick-fil-A’s score of 83. The result reflects Jersey Mike’s rapid growth and increasing consumer loyalty as the sandwich chain continues expanding nationwide and is reportedly considering a future public offering.
Within individual categories, Chick-fil-A remained the leader among chicken chains, followed by KFC, Raising Cane’s, Wingstop and Popeyes. KFC posted one of the largest year-over-year gains in customer satisfaction, reflecting the impact of Yum Brands’ turnaround efforts. Meanwhile, Popeyes experienced a decline in satisfaction scores as it works through operational and sales challenges. In the burger segment, Burger King’s ongoing Reclaim the Flame initiative helped it climb to a tie with Culver’s for the highest customer satisfaction score among burger chains.
Beyond the top ranking, the report found that customer satisfaction across the fast-food industry remained remarkably stable despite ongoing economic pressures and consumer concerns about pricing. The average QSR satisfaction score held steady at 79, while key measures such as staff helpfulness, food quality and app reliability saw little to no change.
