In a surprise move, <a href="http://www.ckr.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=carls-jr-hardees-parent-cke-restaurants-promotes-ned-lyerly-to-ceo-2709695" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">CKE Restaurants Holdings Inc.</a> announced the promotion of brand veteran Ned Lyerly to CEO on April 12. <a href="https://www.nrn.com/quick-service/cke-promotes-company-veteran-ned-lyerly-ceo?NL=NRN-02_&amp%3BIssue=NRN-02__20190415_NRN-02__76&amp%3Bsfvc4enews=42&amp%3Bcl=article_1_1&amp%3Butm_rid=CPG06000007795822&amp%3Butm_campaign=29866&amp%3Butm_medium=email&amp%3Belq2=5aace19578d9431a984340a25567afae&utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=carls-jr-hardees-parent-cke-restaurants-promotes-ned-lyerly-to-ceo-2709695" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">According to an article in Nation&rsquo;s Restaurant News</a>, Lyerly, a 30-year veteran of the brand, replaces Jason Marker, who had served in the role since 2017. The parent company of Carl&rsquo;s Jr. and Hardee&rsquo;s did not reveal any details about the nature of Marker&rsquo;s departure.

&ldquo;Ned is a focused leader and proven restaurant operator who is deeply respected by many within CKE&rsquo;s franchise community,&rdquo; company board member Ezra Field said in a statement included in the article. &ldquo;His track record of success, passion for our brands and deep understanding of the business make him the right leader for CKE going forward.&rdquo;
