Chipotle has added four health-conscious items to its menu, according <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2019/01/02/business/chipotle-diet-bowls-keto-paleo-whole30/index.html?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=chipotle-targeting-the-health-conscious-with-new-lifestyle-bowls-2708775" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">to a CNN Business report</a>. 

These so-called &ldquo;Lifestyle Bowls&rdquo; are aimed at those who follow diets such as paleo and keto diets. The four bowls are the Whole30 Salad Bowl, the Paleo Salad Bowl, the Keto Salad Bowl and the Double Protein Bowl, and they are available for purchase in Chipotle restaurants and via the company&rsquo;s app and website, according to the article. 

&quot;These first-to-category, diet-driven menu offerings are helping those who have committed to living a healthier lifestyle by making it easy to order delicious bowls that only contain the real ingredients permitted by certain diet regimens,&quot; the company said in a statement, according to the article. 

2019 should prove to be a turning point for the Chipotle brand in other ways as well. The company took several steps in 2018 to help battle food safety issues it has experienced, <a href="https://1851franchise.com/chipotle-using-zenput-for-food-safety-measures-2707900" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">including implementing</a> the food safety technology platform Zenput and <a href="https://1851franchise.com/chipotle-to-implement-system-wide-food-safety-retraining-after-latest-illness-outbreak-2707534" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">retraining restaurant employees</a>. The brand&rsquo;s head of food safety is <a href="https://1851franchise.com/chipotle-s-head-of-food-safety-retiring-in-2019-2708076" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">set to retire</a> this year.
